Jessica Shearer McKay

Jessica Shearer McKay is an accomplished Project Manager with a strong focus on sustainability and facilities, currently working at Ansys since November 2021. Previously, McKay served as Project Development Coordinator for Sustainability at the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation from July 2018 to January 2022. McKay has extensive experience in managing biodiversity research projects at the American Museum of Natural History from May 2011 to July 2018 and has collaborated with international partners on NSF-funded initiatives. Early career roles include part-time coordination at scenyc, inc., an internship as a zookeeper and conservation educator with the Wildlife Conservation Society, and a research assistant position at Lenox Hill Hospital. McKay holds a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Biology, and Middle Eastern Studies from New York University.
