Jordy Hendrikx

Acting Chief Executive Officer at Antarctica New Zealand

Jordy Hendrikx is an experienced academic and consultant in snow science and avalanche research, currently serving as the Acting Chief Executive and Chief Scientific Advisor at Antarctica New Zealand since May 2022. In addition, Jordy holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Snow Science at UiT - The Arctic University of Norway and has been a Snow Avalanche Consultant at Dynamic Avalanche Consulting Ltd. since January 2013. Previously, Jordy held various roles at Montana State University-Bozeman, including Affiliate Professor and Director of the Snow and Avalanche Laboratory, contributing significantly to the field of Earth Sciences. Jordy also served as Guest Professor at The University Centre in Svalbard and conducted snow and ice research at NIWA, their academic background includes a PhD in Geography from the University of Canterbury and multiple qualifications in Avalanche Safety Management and Geography from respected institutions.
