Michael Schmitz is an experienced professional in civil engineering, urban planning, and geographic information systems (GIS). Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Principal at Antero Group since February 2018, Michael has been instrumental in advancing the company's mission to enhance built environments and improve public-private engagement processes. Prior to this role, Michael was the GIS & Planning Program Manager at Texoma Council of Governments from December 2008 to February 2018, where responsibilities included managing substantial annual budgets and overseeing GIS service contracts.
