Brandon Binford

Director Geology at Antero Resources

Brandon Binford began their work experience in 2006 as a Geologist intern at Newfield Exploration, where they focused on mapping back-stepping shoreface sandstones in the Anadarko Basin. In 2007, they continued their internship at Newfield Exploration, this time developing a geologic model for water-drive reservoirs in SE Utah.

In 2008, Binford joined Encana as a Geologist and took on various roles including responsibilities for the Mancos exploration effort for the North Piceance asset team. Brandon conducted basin-wide play assessments, developed geologic models, and recommended drilling prospects.

Since 2012, Binford has been working at Antero Resources, initially as a Senior Geologist and then progressing to roles like Staff Geologist, Geology Manager, and currently as the Director of Geology. Their responsibilities at Antero Resources have included Marcellus and Utica Play Analysis, reserve estimations, A&D coordination and analysis, and blue sky development planning.

Brandon Binford holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Energy, which they obtained from the University of Oklahoma - Price College of Business in the timeframe of 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Geology at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2006 to 2008. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Oklahoma State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, starting in 2002 and finishing in 2006.
