You will

  • Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses to support project and corporate decision-making.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining financial models and forecasts
  • Develop and manage project cash flows, cost projections and proformas monthly
  • Meet with the project teams to ensure that proformas reflect the most up to date forecast information
  • Monitor and analyze project costs, ledger reports and explain variances
  • Monitor, review, update, and reconcile: project budgets, invoices, holdback and GL accounts
  • Provide accounting services for the Housebuilding division within Anthem (closing, lot purchases, G&A, intercompany, etc.)
  • Assist with the annual year-end audit/review
  • Compile information for the annual budget for review
  • Co-ordinate and prepare information requests from other departments/external business partners
  • Assist the Housebuilding Director with other duties as requested

You have

  • A Professional Accounting Designation or Certified Financial Analyst Designation and/or 3+ years of experience in real estate development or construction/housebuilding accounting preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of project accounting software such as NewStar, InformXL, Power BI and Yardi
  • Experience with cash management, budgeting and financial reporting and analysis
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects and thrive in a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Experience with creating and maintaining policies and procedures documentation
  • Proven work experience handling high volumes in a fast-paced work environment with multiple demands, must have a sense of urgency and be a team player – there is no task too small!
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; must have the ability to communicate effectively
