John Galloway

Associate Director at Anthesis

John Galloway is the Associate Director at Anthesis. John previously worked as the Carbon Neutral Airport Program Manager at the San Francisco International Airport from November 2017 to April 2021. In this role, they designed a new carbon management program and directed GHG emission reduction and energy resilience projects, built networks of influence to drive project completion, and developed new initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality by 2021.

During their time at the airport, John also led and advised clean energy and resilience studies, secured a $2.5 million grant for airfield electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and developed RFPs and led contract negotiations. John also served as the Sustainability Committee Chair for zero-emission vehicles, was a policy advocate for low-carbon fuels and funding before the California Air Resources Board, and represented the Airport in external working groups.

John has a wealth of experience in GHG accounting and reporting, carbon markets, project management, and team leadership. John is passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact on the environment.

John Galloway has a Master's in Energy and Resources from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. John also has certification as an Envision Sustainability Professional from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.

They are on a team with Charlotte Challis - Principal Carbon Consultant, Ian Golding - Chief Information Officer, and Arjen Struijk - Commercial Director. Their manager is Stuart Mclachlan, CEO.
