Marc Peeters

Marc Peeters is the Associate Director for North America at Anthesis. Marc has over 20 years of experience working in sustainability and compliance, with a focus on the telecommunications industry.

Marc started their career at Tele2, where they spent 4 years as the Head of Regulation and Compliance. In this role, they were responsible for leading the management of legislative and regulatory changes and the implementation of mitigation strategies, development of compliance strategies and compliance management system implementation, litigation on regulation related cases, and developing a sustainability framework for strategy and reporting. During their time at Tele2, Marc advocated for and achieved lasting positive changes to the EU-wide legal framework for telecommunications, successfully implemented critical regulatory changes in consumer protection, retail and wholesale pricing, privacy, access rights and radio spectrum areas, and achieved compliance on those. Marc also implemented an effective compliance management system and complete ethics policy framework, defeated major financial and strategic claims in court, avoiding tens of millions of CAD in losses, and won crucial regulatory challenges in mergers and acquisition areas.

After Tele2, Marc spent a year as the Sustainability Consultant at The Works Design before joining Anthesis in September 2021. At Anthesis, Marc is continuing their work on sustainability strategy and reporting frameworks.

Marc Peeters has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Law and Technology from Universiteit van Tilburg, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Dutch Law from Universiteit Maastricht, and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Marketing Management, General from Fontys Hogescholen.
