Peter Slorach

Principal Analyst at Anthesis

Peter is a Principal Analyst within the UK business, leading projects on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), sustainability metrics, and food waste. He utilises life cycle thinking to support clients to understand and develop strategies that reduce the impact of their products, processes, and services across a wide range of sectors, such as food, consumer goods, waste, and pharmaceuticals.

He developed a strong understanding of LCA methodologies from his previous experience working as a researcher at The University of Manchester, where he also completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering. The focus of Peter’s research included modelling scenarios for achieving Net Zero within the UK heating sector and exploring sustainable approaches for reducing and managing UK consumer food waste.

A systems approach is essential in modelling impacts, a way of thinking reinforced by his prior experience working as a Process Engineer for a global engineering contractor. Peter received his MEng in Chemical Engineering with Chemistry from The University of Manchester.
