Luza Bohorquez-Thomas has a diverse work experience in the field of events and marketing. Luza has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as Director of Global Events Marketing at Anthology Inc. In this role, they have successfully strengthened the capabilities of the global events organization and led the planning and execution of company-wide employee events.

Prior to their current role, Luza worked at Blackboard, where they held the positions of Senior Manager of Global Events Marketing and Corporate Events Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for developing, managing, and executing event programs, as well as leading the planning and production of major events such as the annual user conference and the BbWorld program.

Before joining Blackboard, Luza worked at the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities as a Professional Development, Conferences, and Events Manager. Luza successfully organized large-scale events with a high number of participants and implemented online registration platforms for event management.

Throughout their career, Luza has demonstrated strong leadership and planning skills, as well as the ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.

Luza Bohorquez-Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics which they obtained from George Mason University from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Economics at Universidad Externado de Colombia from 1997 to 2001. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including "Code of Conduct: Enterprise 2023" and "Preventing Workplace Harassment - Fundamentals (CPE/CLE)" from Traliant in 2024. Other certifications include "Code of Conduct: Enterprise" and "Preventing Discrimination & Harassment: US Employees 2022" from Traliant in 2022, and "Unconscious Bias" from LinkedIn in 2020.
