Norma Calderon

Norma Calderon has over 24 years of work experience in quality assurance and operations management.

From 2020-present, they are currently the Head of Quality Assurance at Anthony Marano Company, where they are responsible for compliance to regulations, certifications, and customer requirements. Norma also leads continuous improvement projects and serves as an executive liaison to other department senior leaders.

From 2017-2020, Norma worked at The Jel Sert Company as the Director of Quality Assurance. In this role, they were responsible for regulatory compliance and certifications, including FDA, SQF, ISO, and state/local agencies. Norma also managed customer requirements and audits.

Prior to that, they worked at McCain Foods for over 9 years in various roles. From 2015-2017, they served as the Regional Quality Systems, Continuous Improvement, and Analytics Manager, where they implemented food safety and quality management systems. From 2011-2015, they were the Regional Manager, Quality Operations, overseeing potato and snack/appetizer operations. In 2008-2009, they were the Regional Manager, Quality Operations, specializing in pizza and roasted vegetables.

Before McCain Foods, Norma worked at Chiquita from 1996-2008, where they held roles in quality assurance, fruit processing, vegetable processing, and quality systems.

Overall, Norma has a strong background in quality assurance, compliance, process improvement, and project management within the food industry.

Norma Calderon has a Bachelor's degree in Food Science & Industry, Business Operations from Kansas State University. Norma also holds an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Natural Sciences from Morton College.
