Chief Forester, Logging & Timber Procurement at Anthony Timberland

Art was born and raised throughout the southern United States due to his father’s military service. He obtained a BS in Forestry from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and began work at Bearden Lumber Company in 1983 as a Forester. Art left the company in 1991 and worked primarily in southern Arkansas where he gained experience in forest management, timber procurement, and administration.

He returned to Anthony Timberlands, Inc (ATI) in the fall of 2017 and went on to assume the position of Procurement Forester for the Bearden mill. In 2020, Art was promoted to Chief Forester in charge of Logging and Timber Procurement. His responsibilities are to manage the raw materials required to operate the ATI facilities in Bearden, Malvern, Magnolia, Mt. Holly, and Beirne.
