Danny Hernandez

Danny Hernandez is a seasoned research scientist currently at Anthropic since February 2021, with previous experience at OpenAI from February 2019 to February 2021, focusing on measuring and forecasting AI progress. Prior to these roles, Danny served as a data scientist at Twitch from 2011 to 2017, where responsibilities included training teams in cost forecasting, conducting quantitative analyses of user growth, and managing iOS product improvements. Early career experiences included various internships in mechanical engineering and analytics at companies such as Instrumentation Laboratory, Boston Scientific, Shell Oil Company, ITT, and Volpe Center. Danny holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
