Matt Durrant

Matt Durrant is a Life Science Researcher at Anthropic since November 2025, with a robust background in research and consultancy. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Fellow at FutureHouse and Principal Research Scientist at Arc Institute, where significant contributions were made through published papers on topics such as bridge recombinases and genomic language models. Matt's expertise in computational biology was honed during a consultancy at Pragma Bio and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley. Matt earned a PhD in Genetics from Stanford University and a BS in Bioinformatics and Neuroscience, graduating summa cum laude from Brigham Young University.
