Nicholas Schiefer

Nicholas Schiefer is a technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and research. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at Anthropic since May 2022, Nicholas previously held the position of Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from August 2020 to August 2022. Prior roles include iCloud Software Engineer at Apple from November 2017 to August 2020 and Research Fellow and Assistant at MIT from September 2016 to November 2017. Nicholas began a career in academia with experience as a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Researcher at the California Institute of Technology from January 2013 to June 2016, and also interned at OANDA in 2012. Early career experience includes a Research Associate position at the University of Waterloo and a Student-On-Call role at IBM. Nicholas holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from MIT and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Caltech.
