Cori Lathan, PhD, has a long and varied work experience. Cori began their career in 1999 as the Board Chair and CEO of AnthroTronix, Inc., a biomedical engineering research and development company. In 2014, they became a Board Member (Non Executive Director) of KID Museum, an innovative learning space in the Washington, DC region. In 2017, Dr. Lathan became an Independent Director (Non Executive Director) of PTC, Inc., a global technology provider of Internet of Things and Augmented Reality platforms. In 2018, they became a Public Speaker for Outspoken Agency. In 2021, they became a Senior Advisor for Cala Health, a company that specializes in bioelectronic medicine products, as well as a Member of Extraordinary Women on Boards (EWOB) and a Member of the Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Additionally, they became an Independent Director of Ekso Bionics, a pioneer in the field of robotic exoskeletons, and a Board Member of Robotics Education & Competition Foundation. In 2022, Dr. Lathan became a Book Author with Lioncrest Publishing for their book, "Inventing the Future, Stories from a Techno-Optimist".

Cori Lathan, PhD obtained their PhD in Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1995, after having earned a MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the same institution between 1989 and 1995. In 1992, they attended the International Space University. Cori also obtained a BA in Biopsychology and Mathematics from Swarthmore College between 1984 and 1988. Additionally, in 2008, they completed an Executive Education program in Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century at the Harvard Kennedy School.
