Sebastien Lounis

Sebastien Lounis is currently the Head of People & Culture at Antora Energy, a role they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Lead, Culture and Organizational Development and Business Partner to the CTO at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc., where they worked to foster an entrepreneurial culture, break down silos, and maintain a shared sense of purpose. From 2016-2022, they were the Chief Brand and Experience Officer and VP Operations and Communications at Activate, where they aligned Activate's brand with its mission, core values, and culture, managed marketing and communications, editorial, and design efforts, and led internal projects to improve the employee experience. From 2014-2016, they were the Co-founder and Managing Director of Cyclotron Road at Berkeley Lab, where they conceptualized and launched a first-of-its-kind entrepreneurial research fellowship.

Sebastien Lounis obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in 2007, with a double major in Physics and Philosophy. Sebastien then went on to pursue a PhD in Applied Science and Technology, Applied Physics at the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2014.
