Shyam Pillalmarri

Shyam Pillalmarri is currently an advisor at Antrigulum Labs. Shyam has over 18 years of experience in the technology industry, including serving as SVP of Technology and CTO at Samsung SDS and VP of Engineering and Co-founder at Azul Systems.

Pillalmarri has a long history of success in the technology industry. Shyam co-founded Azul Systems in 2002 and served as VP of Engineering there for 10 years. Under their leadership, Azul Systems became a leading provider of server-based Java applications with clients such as Kohls, Belk, Saks, Puma, and Priceline. In 2012, they transitioned to Samsung SDS, where they served as SVP of Technology and CTO for four years. During their time at Samsung SDS, the company became a leading provider of information technology services with over 12,000 employees and a revenue of over US$9B.

In March 2020, Pillalmarri entered into a strategic transaction worth $340M with Virtuvian Partners. Shyam is now an advisor at Antrigulum Labs, where they are helping to develop emerging IT technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, Internet of things and engineering outsourcing.

Shyam Pillalmarri has a MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
