The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven Strategic Procurement Manager to join our Operations team. In this role, you can not only contribute with your experience and know-how to our growing supply chain, but you can also further develop your skills as we rapidly grow our operations by introducing new products. With your contribution, you will drive the procurement function for our supply chain from single components and spare parts up to complex system sourcing for prototyping, 0-Series manufacturing and  outsourced production.

Our customers are large asset operators and industrial service providers pioneering the use of robotics technology for inspection and maintenance. Our products enable autonomous routine inspections and monitoring of large scale industrial facilities for increased safety and productivity. We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, as well as all software to enable world-class mobility, autonomy and AI driven inspection insights. We have proven the technology and the business impact to our customers in long-term pilot projects and are scaling-up sales of our commercial solution.

Your Contributions

• Develop a global supplier base for timely, cost-effective, and high-quality components
• Negotiate supplier contracts to ensure compliance and favorable terms
• Manage supplier relationships for quality, reliability, and innovation
• Analyze material costs and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Source production materials, negotiate with vendors, and manage project-related sourcing
• Align supply chain strategies with project timelines and specifications
• Manage contracts and purchase orders in the ERP system, including delivery and non-conformity issues
• Define stock levels and replenishment strategies to meet requirements efficiently
• Support development and technology projects

Your Profile

• Technical or commercial apprenticeship with further education in procurement or supply chain
• 5+ years of experience in international project and/or strategic procurement, preferably for complex electro-mechanical products
• Proven technical knowledge of electronics, mechatronic systems and production processes
• Good user knowledge in ERP systems and solid IT user skills (e.g. Google Workspace)
• High proactiveness and persistence
• Excellent communicator in English and in German (level C1 or higher) with proven supplier negotiation and relationship management skills

• Experience in SAP Business ByDesign
