Ameer Haj Ali

Head of Infrastructure and Platform Engineering at Anyscale

Ameer Haj Ali is currently the Head of Infrastructure and Platform Engineering at Anyscale. Ameer has also previously worked as an Artificial Intelligence Researcher at Intel Labs and as a Software Engineer at NVIDIA.

Ali started their career as a software engineer at NVIDIA in May 2015. In this role, they worked on optimizing the performance of workloads on NVIDIA's servers. Ameer was with the company for two years before moving to Intel Labs in May 2019.

At Intel Labs, Ali led an initiative for collaboration between research and engineering teams. Ameer built two frameworks that use artificial intelligence to automatically optimize the performance of workloads on Intel's servers. This resulted in two successful projects: NeuroVectorizer and RLDRM.

In August 2019, Ali left Intel Labs to join Anyscale as the Head of Infrastructure and Platform Engineering. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of Anyscale's infrastructure and platform.

Ameer Haj Ali has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley. Ameer also has a certification from University of California, Berkeley in DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY.

Their manager is Robert Nishihara, Co-Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Ion Stoica - Co-Founder, Executive Chairman & President, Sijie Wang - Head of UX, and Asawari Samant - Head of Marketing.
