Paul Giessner

Paul Giessner is a Power Systems Engineer at Anza Renewables, responsible for evaluating inverter/power conversion systems and conducting power systems modeling for energy storage systems since May 2023. Previously, Giessner served as an Energy Storage Commissioning Engineer at Borrego, where successful commissioning of over 10 solar plus storage projects was overseen and close collaborations with vendors and customers were maintained. Experience as an Electrical Engineer at MPR Associates, Inc. included providing engineering solutions for utility clients, conducting various studies, and managing nuclear-grade hardware projects. Earlier roles included internships at Black & Veatch, Whirlpool Corporation, and Raytheon Missiles & Defense, where technical skills in simulation, script development, and project management were honed. Giessner holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power and Energy) and dual Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Musical Arts from the University of Michigan.
