Saar Tamir

Saar Tamir has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry.

Saar started their career in 2009 as a Network Administrator in the Israeli Air Force. During this time, they were responsible for providing technical and hardware support to end users and systems. Saar also led a team of 20 soldiers and worked with monitoring and deployment systems.

In 2012, Saar joined G.N.S as a NOC and Support member. Saar provided technical and monitoring support to worldwide customers 24/7. Saar also worked with web servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of websites.

Saar then moved on to F5 Networks in 2017, where they held the role of a Technical Intern (QA). Saar worked with automation environments and designed both manual and automated tests on a web application firewall in a Linux environment. Saar also utilized performance tools like Jmeter, Ixia, and Fuzzer. Later, they became a Software Engineer III, specializing in developing and designing new anti-fraud capabilities using Vanilla JavaScript. Saar also maintained the in-house obfuscator solution and worked with cloud environment technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kafka, CI/CD, and microservices.

In 2020, Saar joined Anzu.io as a Full Stack Developer. Saar was responsible for developing and designing the platform infrastructure of Anzu, leading the transition from NodeJS to Go. Saar also developed microservices and worked in a multi-cloud environment using AWS, GCP, and Azure. Additionally, they utilized technologies like Docker, Docker-compose, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for deploying high-scale backend services. Saar also worked on UI development using React and Mobx and worked with both SQL (BigQuery) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). In 2022, they were promoted to the role of Engineering Tech Lead at Anzu.io.

Saar Tamir obtained an Engineer's Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management with a focus on Information System from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Hadarim Hod Hasharon from 2006 to 2009. Saar is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Tel Aviv University, starting in 2021 and expected to finish in 2023. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Microsoft Certified IT Professional from Microsoft. No information is provided regarding the month or year of obtaining this certification.
