Rick Montoya

Rick Montoya is a seasoned architect with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a Senior Design Manager at Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest since March 2016. As a Senior Project Manager at Architects Orange since September 2011 and the owner of Ricardo Montoya Architects, an award-winning full-service firm, Montoya has a strong focus on commercial architecture, particularly in affordable multi-family and senior housing projects across California. Previous roles include Senior Project Architect at Maple M3 Architects, Project Captain at KMA Architecture, and Intern Architect at GSBS Architects. Montoya holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a focus on Urban Design from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo (1988-1992).
