Jeongwon Lee has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of physics. They started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, where they gained research experience. They then moved on to the University of Michigan, where they worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and Instructor, specializing in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics. During this time, they built infrastructure for a new lab, designed and constructed experiments, and performed spectroscopy on various molecules.
After completing their studies at the University of Michigan, Jeongwon Lee worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science. Here, they conducted research on quantum gases, specifically Rubidium and Ytterbium Bose-Einstein condensates. They also contributed to lab relocations and successfully created a Ytterbium Bose-Einstein condensate from scratch.
Following their time at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science, Jeongwon Lee became a Junior Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. They then transitioned to AOSense, Inc, where they initially held the position of Senior Physicist before being promoted to Principal Physicist.
Overall, Jeongwon Lee's work experience has allowed them to develop expertise in various areas of physics, including quantum gases, molecular spectroscopy, and experimental design and construction.
Jeongwon Lee holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, which they attained between 2003 and 2007. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the University of Michigan between the years 2007 and 2012.
