Joe Maionchi

Joe Maionchi has over 25 years of experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently, they work at APARAVI as the Vice President of R&D. Prior to that, they were the Director of R&D and Technical Product Management at APARAVI. Before joining APARAVI, Joe worked at Pure Storage as the Director of Engineering, where they led a team responsible for build, CI/CD, testbed health, and developer productivity tools. At Syncplicity by Axway, Joe served as the Director of Engineering, overseeing Java engineering for storage services and integrations with third-party applications. Joe also led DevOps and escalation/sustaining engineering for platform, storage, and desktop clients. Earlier in their career, Joe held senior leadership positions at Symantec, EMC, and VERITAS Software, where they worked on various aspects of software engineering, development platforms, and team management. Throughout their career, Joe has demonstrated success in achieving service availability improvements, delivering integration features, and enhancing storage service performance and quality.

Joe Maionchi obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to their degree, they also obtained certifications in Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in October 2020, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020.
