Chief Economist & Head of Product Analytics at Apartment List

Igor Popov is currently the Chief Economist & Head of Product Analytics at Apartment List. Previously, they worked as an Economist at Airbnb from May 2016 to May 2018, where they were responsible for economic policy and data science. From June 2012 to September 2012, Igor was a Research Intern at eBay Research Labs, conducting empirical research. Additionally, Igor has taught the undergraduate Economics seminar "Housing, Neighborhoods, and Homelessness" as a Lecturer at Stanford University from April 2017 to June 2018. Igor was also a Doctoral Student at Stanford University from August 2010 to June 2016, conducting empirical and theoretical research in the fields of public economics, industrial organization, and behavioral economics. Igor Popov's educational career began when they completed their BA in economics at Stanford University. Igor then went on to complete their Ph.D in economics at Stanford University. After completing their Ph.D, Igor Popov took a Summer School Programme at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
