Shanna van Beek

Shanna Van Beek has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and global education. Shanna is currently serving as the Associate Director of Corporate Communications at APCO Worldwide since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Elon University in various roles, including Communications Manager for Global Education, Assistant Director of Study Abroad, and International Programs Advisor. From September 2012 to July 2013, Shanna worked as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at the University of Bahrain under the U.S. Department of State. Shanna also has experience as an International Programs Web and Database Content Developer and Fiction Editor of Colonnades: Art and Literary Journal at Elon University.

Shanna Van Beek completed their education in a chronological order. Shanna began their academic journey in 2008 at Elon University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Studies (Middle East) and English (Creative Writing). Shanna successfully completed their undergraduate program in 2012. In 2010, Shanna briefly attended The American University in Cairo, focusing on Arabic language, English professional writing, and literature. Continuing their educational pursuits, they enrolled at Elon University once again and obtained a Master's Degree in Business/Corporate Communications from 2015 to 2018.
