Ohad Michel

Ohad Michel has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ohad is currently working at Apeel as an Associate Director, Data Science. Prior to this, they held positions as a Senior Data Scientist II and Senior Data Scientist I at the same company. Before joining Apeel, they worked as an Artificial Intelligence Fellow at Insight Data Science, where they consulted for Veritonic Inc. and developed an audio ad detection algorithm. Ohad also implemented a pipeline for audio segmentation and classification. Ohad Michel has also worked as a Research Scholar at the UCSB Department of Physics, where they researched single-photon emitters in diamond and developed a GUI in Python for precise sample positioning. Ohad has also worked as an MSc Student at the Weizmann Institute of Science, researching energy-level systems in rubidium atoms and motion detection algorithms. Additionally, they constructed a system for shaping laser beams using a spatial light modulator during their time as an MSc Student at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Ohad Michel has earlier experiences as an Undergraduate Student at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and as a Field Test Engineer at Marvell Semiconductor.

Ohad Michel's education history includes a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physics, obtained from the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2012 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Ohad has obtained several certifications. In 2021, they completed various machine learning-related courses and certifications on Coursera, including "Deploying Machine Learning Models in Production," "Machine Learning Engineering for Production (MLOps) Specialization," "Machine Learning Modeling Pipelines in Production," "Machine Learning Data Lifecycle in Production," and "Introduction to Machine Learning in Production." In 2018, they acquired certifications in "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Deep Learning Specialization," "Sequence Models," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "Machine learning by Andrew Ng" through Coursera. Ohad also obtained the "Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®)" certification from Scrum Alliance in 2021.
