Ryan Fink

Ryan Fink has worked in the produce industry for over 10 years. In 2020, they joined Apeel as Senior Vice President, Americas and Vice President, Commercial and Product Operations- Tropicals. Prior to that, they worked for Mission Produce Inc. from 2010 to 2020, where they held various roles, including Vice President of North American Operations, Director of Global Quality Assurance and Distribution, Director of Global Quality Assurance, Global Quality Assurance Manager, Product Control Manager, and Production Supervisor. In their role as Global Quality Assurance Manager, they provided leadership for process and product improvement at all packing and distribution facilities, worked with each facility quality manager to ensure consistent quality of production and communicated current pack specifications and company metrics. As Product Control Manager, they worked with production employees, coaching on customer specifications and Mission metrics, communicated daily orders and graded finished product based on those orders, and monitored order returns, finding root cause trends for each and following up with the corresponding parties to ensure correction actions were taken. As Production Supervisor, they managed and oversaw the ripe department out of the Mission Oxnard facility, was in charge of ripening all product as well as ensuring correct customer specifications for each order, and developed various tools to manage customers and expected volumes to be able to handle late order additions.

Ryan Fink attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2005 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agricultural Business and Management. In 2019, they obtained a certificate from the United Fresh Produce Executive Development Program at Cornell University. Ryan is currently attending the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration - MBA.
