Humberto Marin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the steel industry. Humberto has held various managerial roles in different companies, including Aperam, ThyssenKrupp - CSA, ArcelorMittal, Acesita, and Voith GmbH.

At Aperam, Humberto Marin served as the Industrial Development Director, overseeing industrial strategy, logistics, metallurgy, engineering, raw materials, and infrastructure. Humberto was also a member of the Aperam South America Executive Board and the Management Committee of Bioenergia. Prior to this, they were the Steelmaking Plant Executive Manager, responsible for managing the steelmaking plant and leading a team of 710 people. Humberto was also the Operational Excellence Advisor to the Technical Director, focusing on projects to improve operational performance.

During their time at ThyssenKrupp - CSA, Marin held positions such as the Steelmaking Plant General Manager, where they managed the steelmaking plant and led a team of 1,000 people. Humberto also served as the Melt Shop Manager, responsible for managing the process of primary and secondary metallurgy.

At ArcelorMittal, Marin worked as the Technical Director Advisor, gaining a full understanding of the business from raw material and energy supply to markets and logistics. Humberto also held the position of Head of Liquid Steel Production at ArcelorMittal Stainless Europe (AMSE), where they managed the stainless steel refining department.

Before that, Marin worked at Acesita as the Converter Manager, responsible for managing the process of primary and secondary refining of stainless steel. Humberto was also a Metallurgist Engineer at Acesita, where they focused on process modeling, optimization, and technical improvements.

Marin started their career at Voith GmbH as a Product Engineer Trainee, working on the finishing and recovery of iron and steel castings. Humberto also interned at Voith Machinery and Equipment Foundry, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the casting process.

Throughout their career, Humberto Marin has demonstrated expertise in managing steelmaking plants, refining processes, operational performance improvement, and strategic thinking.

Humberto Marin holds an Engineer's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, which they obtained from the Escola Politécnica da USP between 1995 and 1999. In 2005 and 2006, they pursued a Master's Degree in Extractive Metallurgy at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Later, in 2015 and 2016, they achieved a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the Fundação Dom Cabral.
