Peter Nielsen

Peter Nielsen is an experienced cross-cultural trainer and facilitator who has provided solutions to a wide range of global companies as well as coaching for employees and senior executives in international organizations. He addresses key business and social issues in the areas of optimizing collaboration in global teams and organizations. Industries with which he has worked range from heavy industry to high-tech.

Prior to joining Aperian, Mr. Nielsen worked as a career consultant. His role encompassed various activities such as networking, job-search counseling, and relocation coaching for international employees moving to Switzerland. He was also a country manager for an international student exchange organization, responsible for student and host family selection and preparation, as well as handling the business side of contract negotiation, sales and marketing, and international program design and adaptation. Early in his career, he worked in the retail wine industry.

A native of Denmark, Mr. Nielsen now lives with his family in Basel, Switzerland; he speaks Danish, English, and German and understands Swiss-German.

Mr. Nielsen’s educational background includes a degree from Niels Brock Business College in Copenhagen as well as post-graduate work on life coaching with the Coaches Training Institute.
