Keithon Corpening, COL(R), CISSP

COL(R) Keithon Corpening, CISSP, has over 20 years of experience in the military and private sector. In 2019, they joined Aperio Global, LLC as Vice President of Cyber Operations. Prior to that, they served as Department Chair of Strategy and Policy at the National War College in 2018. In 2016, they were Chief of the Joint Cyberspace Center at the US Army. In 2015, they were a Student/Fellow at the US Army War College Fellow - NSA Cyber. In 2014, they were Operations Officer for the Chief Information Officer, Assistant Chief of Staff G-6, US Army Intelligence and Security Command. In 2013, they were Chief of the Cyber OPFOR Support Detachment at the 2nd BN, 1st Information Operations Command. In 2010, they were a Cyber Operations Planner at the US Army Cyber Command. In 2009, they were Chief of Logistics Automation at the US Army Central Command. In 2008, they were Deputy of Strategic Network Defense at the Joint Task Force - Global Network Operations. Finally, in 2005, they were Chief of Incident Response at the Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations.

Keithon Corpening, COL(R), CISSP has a long and varied educational history. Keithon obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University between 1989 and 1993. Keithon then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School between 2000 and 2002. Finally, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus between 2011 and 2013. In addition to their educational achievements, they have obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in 2015 and is a Certified Ethical Hacker.
