Raissa Estrela Curado, PhD has a diverse work experience starting from 2005 to the present. Raissa most recently worked at Apertor Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist III starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Zymergen from 2019 to 2022, progressing from Scientist I to Scientist II, and then Scientist III.

Before joining Zymergen, Raissa was a PhD Student at the University of California, Berkeley from 2013 to 2019. During their time there, they also worked as a Teaching Assistant, teaching principles of biochemistry to undergraduate students and providing assistance with assignments.

In 2011, they gained research experience as a Research Intern at CNRS. Raissa's career in research started at Unicamp - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, where they served as a Masters Student Researcher and Undergraduate Student Researcher from 2005 to 2011. Overall, Raissa's work experience spans across both industry and academia, with a focus on scientific research and teaching.

Raissa Estrela Curado, PhD began their education in 2005 at Universidade Estadual de Campinas, where they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Molecular Biology in 2008. Raissa continued their studies at the same institution from 2009 to 2011 to obtain a Master of Science degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology. In 2013, Raissa enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, where they pursued a doctorate in Molecular and Cell Biology. Raissa successfully completed their studies and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 2019.
