Paul Freeston has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Paul has held leadership roles in various companies and organizations. At apetito AG, they served as the Chair & CEO for apetito UK & North America, overseeing operations in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Canada, and the USA. Paul also served as a Board Member for apetito AG. Additionally, they chaired the Heart to Home Meals USA and apetito | Heart to Home Meals Canada divisions, where they led the growth and development of the Canadian business.

Prior to their time at apetito AG, Freeston held the position of Chair & CEO at apetito UK, where they led the company for over 20 years. During their tenure, the company experienced continuous organic sales growth and achieved strong profitability, ROCE, and cash generation.

Freeston has also taken on roles at other organizations, including serving as Chair/President (NED) at the Food and Drink Federation, Deputy Chair/President (NED) at the British Frozen Food Federation, NED at Countrywide Farmers plc, and Board Trustee at The SU, University of Bath.

Before their leadership roles, Freeston gained experience in the food industry, serving as a Member of the Board of Directors and Foodservice Director at Pritchitt Foods, and as Food Standards & Marketing Manager at InterCity (Division of British Railways Board). Paul also served as a Board Member for Student Union Services (East Anglia) Ltd at UEA Students' Union.

Throughout their career, Freeston has demonstrated strong leadership skills, driving growth, and making a positive impact in various organizations.

Paul Freeston attended the University of East Anglia from 1978 to 1982, where they studied Economics and earned a degree in Economics. In 1984, they pursued further education at CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing, completing a Diploma in Marketing.
