Kuza Woodard

Kuza Woodard has extensive experience in the field of community development and housing. Kuza currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Apex Building Group, Inc. since July 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Vice President of Development at the same company from June 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining Apex Building Group, Inc., Woodard worked as the Director of Development at Brisa Builders from June 2019 to May 2021. Kuza also served as the Housing Director at Pratt Area Community Council from July 2015 to June 2019.

Woodard's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Community Development Officer at Local Initiatives Support Corporation from July 2003 to June 2015. Kuza originated various housing loans and provided technical assistance to community development corporations.

Prior to that, Woodard worked as a Senior Real Estate Project Manager at Bridge Street Development Corporation from January 1998 to July 2003. Kuza managed multi-million dollar real estate development projects, including renovation and sale of brownstones.

Woodard began their career as a Community Organizer at NW Bronx Community Clergy Coalition from 1994 to 1996.

Kuza Woodard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from the University of Pennsylvania, where they attended from 1989 to 1994. Prior to that, they attended St. Paul's School from 1985 to 1989.
