Monika Smith

Monika Smith, NCIDQ, is a seasoned interior design professional with extensive experience in strategy and design. Currently serving as Principal of Strategy and Design at Apex since October 2014, Monika has progressed through roles as Design Director and Senior Interior Designer. At Apex Design Build, a firm specializing in Workspace Planning, Interior Design, Architecture, Construction, and Furniture & Finishes, Monika leads projects with high energy and professionalism. Prior experience includes serving as an Interior Designer at Unispace, where Monika managed various phases of design for corporate offices and healthcare projects, including client meetings and project management. Monika began the career as an Interior Design Intern and also worked freelance from 2009 to 2012 on diverse projects spanning commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Monika holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology - Chicago and an Associate of Fine Arts in Fine and Studio Arts from CLC.
