Robert King

Robert King has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Robert started their career as a Store Clerk at Shell in 2002 before transitioning to a Fabricator at Gable Signs and Graphics Inc. from 2003 to 2005. Robert then served as a Communications Watch Officer | System Administrator on the USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98) from 2005 to 2010, where they led a team of IT professionals and received recognition for their work. After that, they joined the US Navy as an IT1, where they procured and tracked IT equipment and designed a database to streamline tracking processes. In 2014, they worked as a Technical Technician II at Hoke County Public School, and in 2015, they became an Active Directory Systems Administrator at Leidos. Robert then moved on to ARMA Global Corporation, A General Dynamics Company, where they held roles as a Senior System Administrator and Principle Systems Engineer from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, they joined CIRCOR International, Inc. as a Senior System Administrator - Defense. In 2020, they worked as a Systems Administrator at Apex Systems / IMTS before becoming a Senior System Engineer at Apex Technology Corporation later that year.

Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, they completed their high school education and obtained a High School Diploma from Chesapeake High School.

In November 2021, they received certifications in various Azure Administration courses, including "Implement and Manage Application Services," "Implement and Manage Storage," "Load Balancers and Application Gateways," "Manage Identities," "Azure Essential Training for Developers," "Azure Event Grid," "Azure Serverless Computing," and "Docker on Azure." In October 2021, they obtained a certification in "Deploy and Manage Virtual Machines," and in September 2021, they received certifications in "Cosmos DB: Import, Manipulate, Index and Query," "Developing CI/CD Solutions with Azure DevOps," "Exam Tips: Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies (AZ-303)," and "Scaling Applications with Microsoft Azure."
