Matthew Nicholson

Matthew Nicholson has extensive experience in talent acquisition and HR roles. Matthew started their career as an HR Assistant Administrator at Northumbria University in 2006 and later worked as an HR Administrator at Sage UK, gaining experience in various HR generalist roles. Matthew then joined Sage as a Recruitment Advisor, providing software and services to businesses. In 2015, they became an HR Coordinator (Recruitment) at Northumbria University, where they contributed to the university's academic and research excellence. Matthew then joined Scott Logic as a Senior Resourcing Partner, playing a key role in designing and implementing major software applications. In 2021, they became a Talent Acquisition Manager at Perfect Image Ltd, an IT solutions provider specializing in cloud services. Finally, in 2021, they transitioned to the role of Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Apexon through a merger with Infostretch.

Matthew Nicholson completed a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Newcastle University in the year 2006. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in Talent Sourcing, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, as well as Understanding and Supporting LGBTQ+ Employees from LinkedIn in 2023.
