Michael Berhane Asfaw is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning within humanitarian and public health contexts. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist in Data Science at the Association of Public Health Laboratories since February 2022, Michael's expertise includes operationalizing M&E systems, developing indicator databases, and facilitating data analysis for diverse stakeholders. Previous roles include positions at the National Democratic Institute as a Global Design, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Consultant, as well as various roles in organizations such as Oxfam, the Norwegian Refugee Council, and International Medical Corps, where Michael contributed to system implementation, data management, and capacity building.
