Sarah Buss

Sarah Buss is a seasoned professional in the field of microbiology and public health, currently serving as the HIV, Hepatitis, STD, and TB Program Manager at APHL - Association of Public Health Laboratories since June 2022. Prior experience includes roles such as Clinical Microbiology Director at Northern Light Laboratory and Laboratory Director at Wyoming Public Health Laboratory. Sarah's academic background features a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Virginia and a BS in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech. In addition to a solid foundation in research, including a fellowship at the Wadsworth Center and a clinical microbiology fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Sarah has demonstrated expertise in managing public health programs and directing clinical microbiology initiatives.
