Gulzar Babaeva

Gulzar Babaeva serves as the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Corporate and Compliance at Shipt, where leadership is provided for the Corporate and Compliance legal team responsible for Regulatory, Privacy, Data Protection, Compliance, Ethics, and Intellectual Property. Prior to joining Shipt in October 2021, Gulzar held the position of Director Counsel for Operational Strategies at Target, supporting technology and commercial transactions for the Fortune 50 retailer. Earlier in their career, Gulzar worked as a Senior Associate Attorney at Fredrikson & Byron, representing various companies and managing teams, and also taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota, creating courses in Business Organizations and Professionalism. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School and a BA in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
