Luka V.

Luka V. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Luka started their career as a Firefighter at DVD Knin in 2013 and worked in that role until 2017. In 2018, they joined Teekay as a Deck Cadet before being promoted to 3rd Officer in 2019. Luka stayed with Teekay until 2022. Luka then joined Seapeak as a 3rd Officer for a brief period in early 2022 before becoming a 2nd Officer. Luka worked in this role until mid-2023. Currently, Luka is working as a Software Developer at APIS IT d.o.o., starting in June 2023.

Luka V. started their education at the University of Split in 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Nautical Studies. Luka remained at the university until 2016. During the same year, they also received training in Wildland/Forest Firefighting from the Croatian Firefighting Association.

In terms of additional certifications, Luka obtained the LICOS - Liquefied Gas Cargo Operations Simulator from Novikontas in April 2020. Luka also obtained the Chief Mate >3000GT certification from the Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure in December 2021. Furthermore, they received the Advanced Training for Liquified Gas Tanker Cargo Operations from the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure in November 2019.
