Matteo Stefanel

Managing Partner at Apis Partners

Matteo Stefanel is the managing partner at Apis Partners. Matteo has held this position since August 2013. Prior to that, they were a partner at The Abraaj Group from August 2008 to August 2013. Before that, they were the chief investment officer at Marfin Investment Group from May 2007 to June 2008.

Stefanel began their career in January 1996 as an analyst at Robert Fleming. Matteo then worked as an associate at Citigroup from January 2001 to December 2002 and as a managing director at Deutsche Bank from January 2002 to December 2007.

Matteo Stefanel attended the University of Oxford, where they earned a BA (Hons) in philosophy, politics, and economics. Matteo also holds an MA in the same field from the same institution. Prior to their time at the University of Oxford, Stefanel completed the International Baccalaureate at Pearson College UWC.
