Richard Bannon CPP APMP has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 1989, they served as a Project Manager at Dowty Maritime and Ultra Electronics. In 1997, they joined Lockheed Martin as an On-Site Programme Manager. Later, in 2012, they became actively involved with APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) in various roles. These include serving as the Education & Certification Director for APMP UK from 2012-2015, and as the Immediate Past CEO of the APMP UK Chapter from 2015, where they also took on the role of Symposium Director.

Richard Bannon CPP APMP completed their education in a variety of fields. Richard began their academic journey in 1970 at Whitefriars where they studied for six years. Later, from 1981 to 1984, they attended the University of Birmingham, earning a BSc in Electronic Engineering & Physics. In 1990, Richard pursued an MBA at The Open University, which they completed in 1995. Continuing their education, they obtained certifications such as the Chartered Physicist from the Institute of Physics in January 1992, Eur Ing from FEANI in March 1996, and became a Certified Proposal Professional from APMP in September 2009. In 2012, Richard enrolled in FranklinCovey Training to enhance their skills in Organizational Leadership, completing the program in 2013.
