Lukas Dillinger has extensive work experience in the field of research and translational medicine. Lukas currently holds the position of Vice President of Research and Translational Medicine at Apogee Therapeutics since July 2023. Prior to this, Lukas served as a Vice President and Interim Head of Discovery and Pre-Clinical at Invivyd from February 2023 to June 2023. Lukas also held the role of Senior Director of Nonclinical Development & Translational Medicine at Invivyd from August 2021 to April 2023.
Before joining Invivyd, Lukas worked at X4 Pharmaceuticals as Senior Director of Translational Sciences & Preclinical QA from January 2021 to July 2021, and as Director of Translational Sciences & Preclinical QA from March 2019 to January 2021. Lukas also gained experience at Arsanis as Director of the Microbiology and In Vivo Models Department from June 2018 to March 2019, Group Leader of In Vivo Models and Bacterial Genetics from December 2015 to May 2018, Staff Scientist of Microbiology and In Vivo Models from June 2014 to November 2015, and as a Junior Scientist in the same department from June 2011 to May 2014.
Furthermore, Lukas has had research internships at the Intercell AG (now Valneva Austria GmbH - Department for Molecular Microbiology) as an M.Sc. student from April 2010 to March 2011, at the University of Vienna as a student intern in March 2010, and at the Medical University of Vienna as a student intern in December 2009. Lukas also worked as a Summer Research Student at Intercell AG (now Valneva Austria GmbH) in July and August 2009, and as a B.Sc. student at the Dublin Institute of Technology in March and May 2008.
Lukas Dillinger completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physical and Life Sciences - Chemical Sciences at Technological University Dublin from 2007 to 2008. Lukas then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biological Chemistry / Molecular Biology at the University of Vienna from 2008 to 2011. After that, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Vienna between 2011 and 2018.
In addition to their academic degrees, Lukas Dillinger also obtained several certifications related to Laboratory Animal Science. Lukas completed the "FELASA-B - Introductory Course into Laboratory Animal Science" at Vetmeduni Vienna in February 2012. Later, in October 2012, they completed the "FELASA-C - Course for Leading of Laboratory Animal Experiments" (institution not specified). In March 2014, they completed the "LTK-Module 4 - Accreditation Course for Anesthesiology and Surgery in Laboratory Animals" at Universität Zürich.
Subsequently, Lukas Dillinger pursued a Diploma in Legal Studies at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz in 1900. Following this, they obtained a Master's degree in Laboratory Animal Science & Welfare from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2018 to 2022. Lukas also briefly studied Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Vienna in 2016, although the degree they obtained during this period is not specified.
