Kayla Zatezalo has a diverse work experience, beginning with an internship in 2012 with Lisa Marie Kotchey. In 2013, they were chosen by Dr. Linda Spurlock to participate in the Manot Cave Archaeological Expedition in the Western Galilee region of Israel. In 2015, they began working as a Freelance Jewelry Designer for Designs Beautiful, LLC. In 2016, they became a Cashier at Wild Goats Cafe. In 2017, they began their apprenticeship at Signet. In 2018, they became a CAD Designer at Scott's Custom Jewelers, a Painting Instructor at Color Me Mine, and a Host at Hyde Park Restaurant Group. In 2019, they became an Airbrush and Henna Artist at Body Pizzazz. In 2020, they became the Customer Service Training Manager at Apollo Neuro.

Kayla Zatezalo graduated from Hampton High School in 2010 and earned a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Jewelry, Metalsmithing, and Enameling from Kent State University in 2016.
