Björn Johansson

Björn Johansson has extensive work experience in the field of biochemistry and pharmaceuticals. Björn started their career in 1984 as a Research Associate at Arla Foods. Björn then worked at Astra Draco AB as a Research Technician, where they were responsible for compound screening, protein fractionation, and enzyme characterization. Björn later joined Astra Draco AB & AstraZeneca as a Research Scientist, where they played a key role in biochemistry, assay development, and target/compound binding characterization. Björn worked as a Senior Research Scientist at AstraZeneca for 11 years, during which they were involved in various project works and held the role of Acting Team Leader.

In 2013, Björn joined Lund University as a Project Manager, where they initiated the setting up activities of Medicon Bridge, a triple-helix organization in medical technology. After that, they worked as a Life Science Consultant at Randstad Sweden, leveraging their expertise in the field. Currently, Björn is working as an Analytical Chemist at APL (Apotek Produktion & Laboratorier AB) since 2020.

Björn Johansson obtained their MSc degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Lund between 1986 and 1990. Prior to that, they attended Teknikum in Växjö from 1982 to 1984, where they pursued a four-year technical high school program with a specialization in Chemistry and biotechnology. Their education journey started at Lars Kagg in Kalmar from 1980 to 1982, where they completed a four-year technical high school program, but the field of study during that period is not specified.
