Andy Palacios, CTE has had a long and varied career in the travel industry. Andy began their career in 2005 as a Sales Manager for Residence Inn. In 2007 they took on the role of Sales Manager for Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown - Convention Center, as well as Past President and Chair for the Oregon Business Travel Association. In 2009 they became the Director of Account Management and Business Development for Tzell Travel Group Northwest. In 2013 they took on the role of Account Manager for Travel and Transport, Inc. In 2015 they became the Area Sales Director for Travel Leaders Corporate, LLC. In 2018 they became the Channel Sales Executive for Yapta. Most recently, in 2020 they became the Vice President of Sales and Strategic Partnerships, and Director of Growth and Strategic Partnerships for App in the Air, Inc. In these roles, they have been responsible for go-to-market strategy, product direction, developing partnerships and channel sales programs, new customer acquisition, and client retention. Andy has also collaborated closely with leaders across all lines of business, including marketing, to build campaigns and analyze data/trends to drive new business.
Andy Palacios has an education history that includes a Hospitality Management degree from CUNY New York City College of Technology, obtained between 2000 and 2002. Andy also holds certifications in Digital Strategy, How Blockchains Will Change Business, Sales Forecasting, Key Account Management, and CTE from LinkedIn and GBTA | Global Business Travel Association, obtained between 2009 and 2022.
