Donna Gallo

Donna Gallo currently serves as the Deputy Chief Communications Officer at Appalachian State University, a position held since July 2023. Prior experience includes serving as the Senior Director of Digital Content & Engagement at Ohio University from December 2019 to May 2023, where leadership of an award-winning team focused on web, email, social media, and content marketing was a key achievement. Donna Gallo also held various roles at Western Carolina University, including Digital Strategy Director and Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager, as well as Communications Manager at Appalachian State University from January 2014 to February 2015. Earlier in their career, positions included Director of Social Media & Special Programs and Community Relations Manager at Trinity Wall Street, and Web Applications Developer at BCD Travel. Donna Gallo holds a Master's degree in Educational Media, Technology and Communications and a Bachelor's degree in Education, both from Appalachian State University.
