Mahesh Sharma

Mahesh Sharma has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Mahesh started their career in 2000 as an Assistant Manager Finance at GE Capital, where they were responsible for financial consolidation and analysis. Mahesh then joined GE in 2001 as a member of the Financial Leadership Development Program, gaining experience in different GE businesses and receiving training in business finance.

Throughout their career at GE, Mahesh held various roles, including FP&A Manager and AGM Finance, where they were responsible for financial planning and analysis, as well as commercial finance and credit control. Mahesh was recognized for their contributions to the business with a Platinum Award.

In 2008, Mahesh joined SABIC as a Country Finance Leader, managing three legal entities and overseeing manufacturing, trading, and research and technology. Mahesh also served as the GM Finance, implementing the operating plan, managing profitability, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Mahesh then joined GE again in 2014 as the Cash Leader for Global Finance Operations in India, where they managed the Order to Cash process for 15 legal entities. Mahesh developed and implemented collection strategies, realigned teams, and hired new members.

In 2015, Mahesh became the CFO for South Asia at THE NIELSEN COMPANY, spearheading governance across four legal entities and two joint ventures. Mahesh successfully improved growth, profitability, and cash flow for the regions through timely decision-making and process improvements.

Most recently, since 2017, Mahesh has been with Amazon, where they have held the role of Supply Chain & Engineering Finance Head. In this role, they have led finance initiatives to optimize topology and capital expenditure, drive cost benchmarking and optimization projects, and reduce network losses. Mahesh has partnered with various teams and stakeholders to achieve these goals.
