Leyla Wilkerson, CPA, MSA has a diverse work experience in financial reporting, accounting, and tax consultancy. Leyla has recently held the position of Director of Financial Reporting at AppHarvest since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Sonoco as the SEC Reporting Lead and later as a Financial Reporting Analyst III from 2018 to 2021. Leyla also served as a Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting at Hostess Brands, where they assisted in the company's IPO and implementation of internal controls. Leyla began their career as a Staff Accountant at NuVasive and then worked as a Tax Consultant/Preparer at their own firm and as a Tax Specialist at H&R Block.

Leyla Wilkerson, CPA, MSA began their education at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from 2007 to 2009. Leyla then went on to earn their Masters of Science degree in Accountancy from San Diego State University, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. In July 2015, Leyla obtained their certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy.
